FA-ST PROJECT PILOTING ACTIVITIES – CYPRUS

EUC and CERIDES are happy to announce that, despite the extremely adverse conditions created by the two-year pandemic, the Piloting Activities of Erasmus+ project FA-ST (Fast prototyping and entrepreneurial skills to promote female founded start-ups in STEM) have been successfully completed.

The piloting activities took place in physical mode during the weekend of the 12th and the 13th of March 2022 at the premises of European University Cyprus. The participants had the opportunity to experience topics included in all 3 Stages of the FA-ST Program. More specifically, they had the opportunity to increase their knowledge on STEM topics by conducting relevant workshops (Stage 1), to participate in exercises that cultivated their skills in self-determination and entrepreneurial development (Stage 2), and to formulate their initial business idea in the STEM sector with the help of project trainers (Stage 3). The overall activity was, by all accounts, an extremely enjoyable and productive experience for all participants!

The course was implemented in Greek language with the participation of young women (aged 18-30) who did not already have the appropriate entrepreneurial and related skills to be able to start their own business in the STEM sector.

The FA-ST Program was developed in the framework of the European project FA-ST “Fast prototyping and entrepreneurial skills to promote female founded start-ups in STEM (FA-ST)“, which is funded by the Cyprus Youth Agency through the Erasmus+ Programme and coordinated by the European University Cyprus. Full information on the FA-ST project is available at this link.
